Into The Breach withdraws from Dota 2 Champions League
Another loss for the 7th season of the Dota 2 Champions League. Into The Breach has withdrawn from the tournament. The organizer won't look for a replacement team and award it a technical defeat in all remaining matches.
As noted in a press release, 2 members of Into The Breach tested positive for COVID-19 and can't participate in the tournament. Into The Breach wasn't invited initially but was a replacement for the Chicken Fighters, who declined to participate.
Except for Into The Breach, Dota 2 Champions League Season 7 has already lost 6 participants since its announcement. AS Monaco Gambit, Virtus.pro, Team Empire, Chicken Fighters, Coolguys and PuckChamp declined an invitation. Also, the organizer hasn't introduced the team that replaces PuckChamp in the playoff stage.
Dota 2 Champions League Season 7 takes place online from January 24 to February 17. At the tournament, teams from the CIS and Europe compete for the prize of $50,000.
