Esports Charts has compiled a list of the most popular major tournaments in Dota 2 history. PGL Arlington Major 2022, which ended last week, was the second most popular in terms of peak viewership, behind only The Kiev Major 2017.
Interestingly, another major this year, ESL One Stockholm Major 2022, is in 5th place and more than 100,000 viewers behind PGL Arlington Major 2022. However, it is worth noting that there were no teams from China in Stockholm, due to which viewers' interest was lower.
PGL Arlington Major 2022 took place from August 4-14 in Arlington, USA. The finals were at Esports Stadium Arlington with full support from the stands. The total prize pool for the event was $500,000 and 4,570 DPC points.
