Team SMG Meet Blacklist International In The Upper Bracket Final
We’re down to two remaining teams in the Upper Bracket of the SEA Qualifiers.
Team SMG 2-1 Execration
The first match of the day featured Team SMG and Execration. In the first game, Execration’s carry player, Palos, had connection issues, forcing Execration to use up all their pause time. Still, Palos kept disconnecting, and No[o]ne constantly unpaused the game, telling Execration to fix their issues. Team SMG could stomp the first game to be up in the series 1-0.
Execration wasn’t happy in the second game and blew Team SMG out of the mid-game, building up a 35,000 net worth lead at 41 minutes. However, after some over-extensions from the Execration side, Team SMG brought the net worth lead back to even. Still, Execration proved their late-game prowess to win the game and tie the series.
The third game started close until Execration won a team fight to propel them to a 15,000 net worth lead at 36 minutes. However, like the second game, Execration threw away their lead and allowed SMG to make a comeback, taking the series win.
Team SMG advanced to the Upper Bracket Final, while Execration dropped to the lower one.
Blacklist International 2-0 BLEED Esports
We had another exciting matchup in the Upper Bracket, as Filipino squad Blacklist International took on BLEED Esports.
Though fans expected this to be a close series, those expectations were unmet. Blacklist International demolished BLEED 2-0, and it wasn’t even close. In both games, BLEED could not get more than ten kills and was outclassed by Blacklist.
This result means Blacklist will fight Team SMG for a spot in the Grand Final, while BLEED lose their second life and will only have one chance remaining.
