On June 13, Valve released an update in the Dota 2 client that fixed DotaTV. Service stopped working right after the release of patch 7.31d. The error was the following: when a user was trying to open a match via DotaTV, active matches weren't loaded. Because of this, community casters couldn't access the official matches.
Valve employee Jeff Hill responded to the Dota 2 community on Reddit. He said that the work to fix the bug began on Thursday and continued all weekend. He also thanked the community for their patience and feedback.
Patch 7.31d, which broke DotaTV, was released on June 9. It included a Dota Plus update, hero and item balance, and added Marci to Captains Mode.
