When are the DPC Spring Tour Open Qualifiers?

DPC Spring Tour Upper Division matches have already started, but many people are still wondering when qualifiers for the Lower Division will be held. In this article, we've compiled all the information on open qualifiers for each region.

As a reminder, open qualifiers are only the first stage that teams must overcome on their way to the DPC. After that come the closed qualifiers. However, their dates and formats haven't yet been announced.

Eastern Europe

In this region, the organizer chose the standard format of qualifiers: 3 rounds of open qualifiers and 1 round of closed qualifiers. Recall that the closed qualifiers feature 2 teams eliminated from the Lower Division last season.

• Dates of the 1st open qualifiers: March 13-14 (2 invites to closed qualifiers)
• Dates of the 2nd open qualifiers: March 15-16 (2 invites to closed qualifiers)
• Dates of the 3rd open qualifiers: March 17-18 (2 invites to closed qualifiers)

Western Europe

Western Europe region plays by similar rules to its Eastern European neighbors. They have 3 rounds of open qualifiers and 1 round of closed qualifiers.

• Dates of the 2nd open qualifiers: March 15-16 (2 invites to closed qualifiers)

China

Right before the Spring Tour in China, there was a mass blocking of Esportsmen, which caused the list of participants in the region to change. This also had an impact on the qualifiers. There are only 2 rounds of open qualifiers, of which 4 teams go to the closed ones.

• Dates of the 2nd open qualifiers: March 15-16 (4 invites to closed qualifiers)

Southeast Asia

There are 3 rounds of open qualifiers and 1 round of closed qualifiers in this region. As in Europe, 2 teams from each open qualifier pass to the next round.

South America

The transfer period in South America ended with the complete breakup of the two teams that dropped out of the Lower Division this winter. This made adjustments to the format of the qualifiers as well. There are 4 open rounds and one closed round.
