Xtreme Gaming declines to participate in PGL Arlington Major 2022
Xtreme Gaming of China has declined to participate in PGL Arlington Major 2022. One of the team members, ??Lou "lou" Zhen, couldn't get a visa to the United States. Who will replace the team at the tournament is unknown yet.
According to the announcement, Xtreme Gaming made this decision since participating in the major with a replacement would weaken its playing potential. Based on the team's current number of DPC points, the chance of getting a direct invitation to The International 11 is almost non-existent. It also fears a long homecoming due to the country's travel restrictions. After the meeting, the team decided to start preparing for the qualifiers for The International 11.
PGL Major Arlington 2022 takes place on August 4-14 in Arlington, Texas. The championship is held at Esports Stadium Arlington with a live audience. It features 18 teams from 6 different regions and has a $500,000 prize pool.
